Position Overview:

We're looking for an experienced, client-facing, freelance Project Manager to lead marketing website redesign and development projects from kickoff through launch. You'll partner closely with clients and design, development, and strategy teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with client goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage website redesign and build projects through all phases: discovery, UX, design, content, SEO, analytics, development, QA, and launch.
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for clients throughout the project.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans and client status documents.
  • Schedule and facilitate internal and client meetings, capturing decisions, risks, and next steps.
  • Partner with the account leads to maintain client satisfaction and manage expectations.
  • Collaborate with strategy, design, development, and other team members to translate client goals into actionable plans.
  • Manage the flow of work through strong communication and by utilizing appropriate tools (Sharepoint, Monday.com, Slack, etc.).
  • Track budgets, scope, and resourcing; flag risks and recommend solutions proactively.
  • Participate in the QA process (testing on mobile devices and across browsers, logging issues, and confirming fixes).
  • Review deliverables for completeness and alignment with scope and project brief/goals.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience managing marketing site redesign and development projects in an agency setting.
  • Familiarity with SEO and Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of the website development process (WordPress or similar CMS).
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Familiar with tools like Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and calm under pressure.
  • Available to work collaboratively with a distributed internal team and clients during business hours (EST).
